Terms of service
Effective: 2026-05-16
The deal
Contextify ("we") provides a memory + prompt-context hook for Claude Code sessions. By creating an account or using the service you ("you") agree to these terms.
What you can do
- Run the contextify CLI against the hosted service from your own machine
- Issue, view, and revoke your own API keys at any time
- Soft-delete or permanently delete any memory we've captured for you
- Export your captures as JSON
- Stop using the service whenever you want; we'll delete on request
What you can't do
- Use the service to capture sessions from accounts you don't own
- Share your API key with people outside your team
- Reverse-engineer or scrape another tenant's data
- Use the service to store anything illegal in your jurisdiction
- Abuse rate limits (we'll throttle, then suspend, then terminate)
Your content
Everything captured by your sessions stays your content. We process it only to operate the service: extract memory, generate prompts, return them to you. We do not train models on your data and do not sell it to third parties.
See the privacy policy for the full breakdown of what gets captured and what doesn't.
LLM outputs
Contextify uses LLMs to extract memory and generate prompts. LLM outputs can be wrong, incomplete, or hallucinated. You are responsible for reviewing anything you act on. We provide the service as-is with no warranty on the accuracy of LLM-generated content.
Pricing + billing
The hosted service is currently in early access. Pricing tiers shown on the pricing page are placeholders — billing is not yet enabled. When we turn billing on we'll notify everyone on the waitlist with at least 30 days' notice and the option to opt out before the first charge.
Service availability
We aim for high availability and monitor uptime continuously. We do not commit to a contractual SLA during early access; once billing turns on, paid tiers will include a published SLA with credit terms. We notify active customers of planned downtime in advance and incidents as they happen.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard or by emailing us. We'll delete your data within 30 days of the request.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or place us at legal risk (abuse, illegal content, payment fraud). We'll give 7 days' notice except in cases where immediate action is required.
Liability
The hosted service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, business interruption, or data loss caused by LLM outputs. Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us during that period.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded (e.g. for fraud or death/injury caused by negligence).
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email to active customers at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
